نویسندگان

چکیده

Turmeric (Curcuma longa L) is one of the many spices that grow on Asian continent, especially Southeast and South Asia, which can be utilized to its full potential, antioxidant compounds contained in curcuminoids. This study aims determine effect different forms turmeric, powder fresh, extraction using reflux method activity DPPH (2,2-Diphenyl-1-PicrylHydrazyl). The process was carried out distilled water with three variations sample forms, turmeric powder, fresh (grated pieces turmeric) a solute/solvent ratio (w/v) (1:5). viscous extract form paste obtained after distillation solvent evaporation. best extracts essential oils were from powdered samples yields 8.28 (% w/w) 0.44 g, clearer than other two samples. analysis showed highest freshly grated an IC50 value 114.7 ppm moderate level activity. cut has 158.3 ppm, included weak 134.1 strength.

OPTIMIZATION OF THE AR-TURMERONE EXTRACTION FROM TURMERIC (Curcuma longa L.) USING SUPERCRITICAL CARBON DIOXIDE

Extracting volatile compounds using supercritical carbon dioxide (scCO2) is one of the most interesting applications of supercritical technology, due to the high solubility of these substances in scCO2. Supercritical carbon dioxide extraction (SFE-CO2) has been applied for obtaining extracts from several vegetable matrices, among them turmeric (Curcuma longa), because its volatile oil contains ...

Novel polymorphic microsatellite markers from turmeric, Curcuma longa L. (Zingiberaceae)

Twenty one polymorphic microsatellite loci were isolated and characterized from turmeric (Curcuma longa L.). These markers were screened across thirty accessions. The number of alleles observed for each locus ranged from two to eight with an average of 4.7 alleles per locus. The discrimination power of these markers ranged from 0.25 to 0.67 (average 0.6). The simple sequence repeat (SSR) marker...
